Another songfic with a 'Eagles' song this time 'no more cloudy days'

Sittin’ by a foggy window
starin’ at the pourin’ rain
fallin’ down like lonely teardrops
memories of love in vein

She was sitting by the window of his house. The jerk had broke her heart know she just sat there staring at the rain. Silent tears coming down from her eyes. Her big beautiful chocolate browns. In the background the radio played a song, ‘The Eagles’ with ‘No More Cloudy Days’

These cloudy days
make you wanna cry
it breaks your heart when someone leaves
and you don’t know why

She had told him that he just left a message on her phone. ‘It’s over’ nothing more nothing less without any explanation. ‘How could anyone be so cruel to her’ he thought.

I can see that you've been hurt
baby I’ve been lonely too
I’ve been out here lost and searching
looking for a girl like you

He sat next to her pulling her in a big hug. She laid her head on his shoulder. He quietly song-along with the song. The song was just fitting with the situation.

Now I believe

He stood and hold out his hand to her. She took it and they began swaying to the music.

He song-along and looked right into her eyes like he meant it and he did. She searched his eyes and found love, caring and hope in those o so big beautiful pools of blue.

They stopped swaying to the music and he placed his hands on each side of her face. She gripped his wrists. He leaned in a little and kissed her forehead.

 
These cloudy days

She got on her tippy toes and kissed him hard on the mouth. He opened his mouth to let her tongue in. they kissed awhile then they had to come up for air. Then she began singing softly along with the song. He joined in and together they sung the last chorus.

Zac walked pasted her room and saw her standing. Crying. He just couldn’t stand when she was crying. He walked up to her and pulled her into a hug. She broke down on his shoulder.

 

“Why daddy? Why do they always dump me for some hot, skinny girl?”

“I don’t know baby girl. I don’t know but everything is going to be alright. I promise” he said when her hugged her even closer.

 

It was always like this. Some boy came by stole her heart. Mostly because her last name was Efron. Broke it a couple weeks later to go to some skinnier girl. His baby girl was more rounded in some places. But most eighteen year old boys thought she was fat. ‘Stupid Hollywood scene’. He thought to himself.

“Can you call Aunt Nikki for me? I need some girl talk”

“Of course baby girl”

 “I felt just like you when I was your age and a boy broke up with me”

After her talk with Melanie. Nikki couldn’t help but think a lot about her and Zac. She was divorced for over 2 years now. And she knew Trevor, her son. Saw Zac as a sort of father because his own was always to busy. She was falling for him again.

Several weeks later. Melanie was slightly happier.

“I’m happy to she that smile again Mels”

“Thanks daddy I just considered it I just loved the boy to well. From now on I’m not going to rush things with boys”

“That’s good to hear. I’m proud of you Mels”

Zac was also thinking about Nikki more and more. She was divorced.  He was a widow for almost 17 years. Vanessa was killed in a car accident because she had drunk too much. When he was over that which took him over two years. He started to fall again for Nikki. But she was still married and mother of a son. Thinking about the past made him shiver and he poured himself a glass of whiskey. To make him forget.

And from worryin' about this wasted time

He sometimes wanted to go back in the past. So he could do the right thing and left Vanessa and be married with Nikki for years. But on the other hand he would never had Melanie. Melanie was everything for him.

And the years keep rushing on

You've got to leave it alone'

 

Over the years there were so many women but they were never Nikki. His Nikki. He looked over to his left were Nikki was fast asleep. He sight ‘finally were she belongs’ he thought. He kissed her forehead.

She stirred. “Good morning sunshine” “morning handsome” she kissed him on the mouth.

So you can get on with your search, baby
And I can get on with mine
And maybe someday we will find
That it wasn't really wasted time

 

Nikki and Zac watch as Trevor and Melanie were playing basketball.

“I’m so going to get you for that” Melanie yelled at Trevor.

“I can’t wait”

When he said that he tripped fell and pulled Melanie with him. They looked in to each others eyes. Trevor slightly closed the gap between them. They kissed. When they parted she whispered “It wasn’t really wasted time”

 

Zac suddenly pulled Nikki close. “It wasn’t wasted time” he whispered in her ear before he kissed hard on the mouth.
